Guards Polo Club will remember a golden age of polo with the creation of the Club’s first Indian Polo Day on Saturday 19 July 2025. Two outstanding matches, recalling a time when India was the globally- recognised heart of polo and enriched in 2025 by the Club’s exciting new partnership with the world-famous Jaipur Polo Team, led by the Maharaja himself, HH Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur.
The morning game will be the final of the 18-goal Indian Polo Challenge Shield – a mighty trophy that dates back to the early 1920s. The afternoon’s match will see the Club relaunch the coveted Jaipur Trophy. This iconic horse was first presented to the Club in 1968 by the polo-playing Man Singh ll, HH The Maharaja of Jaipur from 1922 -1970. Following his death, his widow, the Rajmata of Jaipur, continued to support the trophy, attending matches at Guards Polo Club for almost four decades.
Guards Polo Club will be opening the event to both Members and Non-Members, with Searcys creating an Indian-inspired menu for all Clubhouse VIP hospitality guests. For more information on the day and to book both tickets and hospitality online please click HERE.
