Guards Polo Club reflects on its military roots on this day, celebrating the best of military polo. The Inter Regimental Final is the culmination on a three-match competition, organised by the UK Armed Forces Polo Association(UKAFPA). The finalists in 2024 are the Welsh Guards versus the Household Cavalry. Plenty of regimental honour at stake. The trophy is one of the oldest pieces of silverware still played for here in England, dating back to 1871. Traditionally, this day started with the United Services Trophy, featuring a UKAFPA team versus an invited team from overseas. This year they are playing the United States Military Team.
